Miss New York's Outstanding Teen

What a flashback weekend for me! Holding the title of Miss New York's Outstanding Teen was a whirlwind that taught me so many things I still cherish today. Reuniting with the individuals that made my year possible and watching a new girl take up the job was definitely exciting to say the least!

Moreover, watching Arlena compete was so much fun! Though she didn't take home the crown, I know the judges must have had a hard job. All of the ladies did a fabulous job and should be so proud of themselves for being so confident, strong, and beautiful!

I know I wasn't the only Miss titleholder in the audience that felt that way either, at least judging by the screams coming from our section! It was nice having so many of us together and made me even more anxious for the coming workshop weekend!

Arlena's Send Off!

What a special party! Miss Copper City's Outstanding Teen is off to compete for the job of Miss New York's Outstanding teen next weekend! As she finishes preparing for the competition weekend we had some pizza and cake to wish her the best!

One of my favorite parts about the organization is meeting the amazing individuals that really run the show! All of us titleholders work extremely hard, but none of what we do could ever be possible without the women, families, and supporters that stand behind us. Spending the day with these individuals and my Miss Copper City family was a treat and I cannot wait to cheer Arlena on next weekend!

Princess for a Day

Playing Elsa from frozen today was such a blast, especially because I got to share the day with my outstanding teen, Arlena! She organized this event from start to finish and it was a huge success! The smiles on all the little princesses were awesome to see and a blessing to share. The event included crowning all the attendees, picture taking, crafts, makeup, nails, cake...in essence: everything a princess wants! She raised over a thousand dollars for Shop with a Cop and created a special day!

National Pancake Day

Raising funds for Children's Miracle Network has never been so yummy! IHOP has dubbed today National Pancake Day, where between 7 am and 7 pm you can get a free short stack of pancakes! However, in New York we are even luckier because our pancake day goes until 10 pm! All that is asked in return for your free pancakes is a donation to CMN hospitals!

Not only is it super yummy but it is also a blast! This morning I got to meet some other local volunteers and some miracle children! Miracle children are children being treated at a CMN Hostipal! We had a blast talking to other patrons about the hospitals over delicious food! Hope to see some of you out and supporting!

In addition, with every new crowning I get more and more excited for workshop weekend coming up! I am looking forward to having the entire 2017 class together for the first time!!!

A Night To Shine

Tim Tebow came through up in Rome NY tonight with "A Night to Shine," a prom for special needs individuals. It was a special event that included lots of crownings, tons of dancing, and lots of laughs. I had the chance to be a part of the night with my whole Copper City and Revere family! It was full of heart moving moments that I won't soon forget!
