Princess Tea Party

Such a wonderful event for a fantastic cause! We worked hard (or as hard as princesses do) to raise quite a bit of money for Children's Miracle Network today! All the proceeds will go to the Maria Fareri CMN Hospital right in my area! I got to be Aurora from Sleeping Beauty and had a blast with crown making, face painting, pictures, tea, and snacks! Just am awesome time working with a number of different organizations!

Miss America Serves Day

The girls in New York were busy today! We were spread out at a variety of events across the state doing service in a number of different ways! I chose to volunteer with some of the upstate and central state girls at our local regional food bank! We had a blast spending time together sorting and packing food to be sent off to families in need! The pictures speak for themselves!

Workshop weekend!

What a whirlwind weekend! Workshop was an amazing experience to say the least. Not only was the board extremely helpful and informative about the approaching week of Miss New York but all of the class of 2017 was united for a day of photos, meetings, fittings, and rehearsals! After learning about our requirements and schedules we had the chance to fit our official swimsuits for Miss New York made by the amazing Kandice Pelletier, a former Miss New York and Radio City Rockette! Then we got our official opening number dresses from the FABULOUS sponsor Coco Chateau! The Sherri Hill dress is navy blue and I can't wait for everyone to see it at Miss New York! Finally we ended our day with a few hours of rehearsal for our opening number! Our choreographer, Kimberly Cantoni is super!  In case you weren't excited yet, you should be now because it is going to be a blast! Looking forward to sharing the stage with all the girls of 2017 and especially the blue group, because my contestant number is #7!!!

What a happy week promoting Children's Hospital Week for Children's Miracle Network! As the week draws to a close I chose to support by ordering my very own Miracle Band! Please look to social media or the national website to order yours today and/or donate to go above and beyond! Let us do it for the  kids!

Miss New York's Outstanding Teen

What a flashback weekend for me! Holding the title of Miss New York's Outstanding Teen was a whirlwind that taught me so many things I still cherish today. Reuniting with the individuals that made my year possible and watching a new girl take up the job was definitely exciting to say the least!

Moreover, watching Arlena compete was so much fun! Though she didn't take home the crown, I know the judges must have had a hard job. All of the ladies did a fabulous job and should be so proud of themselves for being so confident, strong, and beautiful!

I know I wasn't the only Miss titleholder in the audience that felt that way either, at least judging by the screams coming from our section! It was nice having so many of us together and made me even more anxious for the coming workshop weekend!

Arlena's Send Off!

What a special party! Miss Copper City's Outstanding Teen is off to compete for the job of Miss New York's Outstanding teen next weekend! As she finishes preparing for the competition weekend we had some pizza and cake to wish her the best!

One of my favorite parts about the organization is meeting the amazing individuals that really run the show! All of us titleholders work extremely hard, but none of what we do could ever be possible without the women, families, and supporters that stand behind us. Spending the day with these individuals and my Miss Copper City family was a treat and I cannot wait to cheer Arlena on next weekend!
